I Heart My Bart.  I found this website when if first appeared on the internet and have been getting the weekly emails ever since.  It’s a great resource for Fun and Free things to do in the 510 and everywhere else and they tell you how to get there, how great is that?  They even have free contests and i’ve won a couple of things so follow them on twitter or sign up for their email.  www.mybart.org

The Fremont Festival of the Arts features much to see and do. Enjoy a meal from one of the different food booths, or shop in the ever popular Gourmet Marketplace.

You will find over 700 artists exhibiting upscale arts and crafts pieces, including photography, paintings, jewelry, wood carvings, clothing, sculptures and more.

The ever popular Kid City is back! Kids will be delighted with live entertainers such as magicians, jugglers, and dance troupes as well as traditional carnival rides.

For those who just want to sit back, relax, and listen to music, the Festival features three stages with musical acts that span from rock to blues to soul to country. Enjoy free music on two stages at the Fremont Festival of the Arts. Don’t miss The Rising, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band, and Zoo Station, a U2 tribute band!

Getting There:
Take BART to the Fremont station and exit, walking west (away from the hills). You’ll pass through the Gateway Plaza (with the NAZ Cinema and the Army recruiting office. Follow the signs that will be posted.

“Target First Free Sundays”�free general admission on the first Sunday of every month and the family programs offered on that day�is made possible by Target. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to capacity restrictions, admission is not guaranteed.

Admission to Shanghai is only $5 on Target First Free Sundays; Children, Youths, and Asian Art Museum members enjoy free admission.

The museum is located 1 block west of the Civic Center station. Leave the station by the Grove Street exit. Proceed upstairs to street level. Walk one block north on Hyde to Fulton. Make a left on Fulton. Walk one block west (toward City Hall) on Fulton to Larkin. Make a right on Larkin. Enter the museum at 200 Larkin Street.
